Liverpool are being linked with a January move for Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam after an agent admitted he would not be signing a new contract with the Italian club.
Ghoulam’s current deal expires next summer, meaning he is free to discuss terms with interested clubs from the New Year.
Mario Giuffredi, who represents Ghoulam’s team-mate Mino Rui, claimed that if the 26-year-old “wanted to renew, he’d already have done it” on Radio Crc.The Algerian international joined Napoli from Saint-Etienne in 2014 and has established himself as one of Serie A’s best left-backs.
Liverpool were linked with left-backs throughout the summer and the Reds eventually signed Hull’s Andrew Robertson to provide competition to Alberto Moreno, with James Milner returning to midfield.
Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon was another target for Jurgen Klopp and the Reds continue to be linked with left-sided defenders.
