Liverpool have reportedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Roma goalkeeper Allison Becker, after the Brazilian made the Reds his ‘top priority’ for a move away from Italy.
The report from Brazilian source UOL Esporte claims that Alisson, who has also received interest from the likes of Real Madrid and PSG, will try to carve out a move to Merseyside should he fail to agree a deal with his current employers.
Liverpool are keen to find a long-term goalkeeper after manager Jurgen Klopp, who has switched between Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius this term, remains unconvinced by either of his current shot-stoppers.
Alisson has made 14 clean sheets from 32 appearances this term, with Roma a point above derby rivals Lazio in the Serie A table.
The club, who also remain in the hunt for Champions League glory, lost 2-1 to Shakhtar Donetsk in their last-16 first leg earlier this week.
