Liverpool handed massive blow in their pursuit of £65m-rated Frenchman

Serie A champions, Juventus are leading a host of teams for the signing of Ligue 1 giants Lyon playmaker Tanguy Ndombele, according to the reports.

The 22-year-old is also playmaker is believed be on the radar of French champions, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United. Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City.

L’Equipe reported that Italian champions are closing in Ndombele, however, as sporting director Fabio Paratici has already had a meeting with the agent of French star.

Maximiliano Allegri’s side are believed to be willing to meet the recently-capped France international’s valuation, that is believed to be valued around £65m.

Ndombele has found back of the net twice and set up six more from his holding midfield position and is believed to have identified as a replacement for Miralem Pjanic at the Allianz Stadium.

However, Liverpool are still in the race as they have planning to replace summer signing Naby Keita after the end of the current campaign.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have reportedly identified another Lyon star Memphis Depay as a potential replacement for Sadio Mane.

The Merseyside Reds head-coach Jurgen Klopp is well-stocked for options in the final third. However, it has been reported that Sadio Mane could depart from Anfield during the upcoming summer transfer window and Depay seems to be an ideal addition.
