Liverpool given transfer boost for £10m Denmark defender following Hull City relegation, Reds have held talks with agent
Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer has been close linked with a move to Hull City over recent weeks.
The Independent reported that Hull City officials visited Istanbul last month to hold talks over the Denmark international.
Per the source, the Tigers are now very unlikely to sign Kjaer following their relegation into the Championship.
Hull are not the only Premier League side to be linked with a move for the 28-year-old defender.
Liverpool are reported to have held talks with Kjaer’s agent Mikkel Beck according to Turkish sports newspaper AMK.
The report claims that that the Reds are prepared to offer £10 million for the centre-back.
The experienced defender has attracted widespread interest after another impressive season for Fenerbahce.
The powerful centre-back has been one of the Canaries most in form players and was selected for the Europa League Team of the Group Stages.
Fenerbahce did top Group A which included Manchester United and Eredivisie champions Feyenoord.
Kjaer has two-years remaining on his current contract and made a total of 41 appearances in all competitions for the Istanbul giants this season.
