Adrien Rabiot is growing increasingly frustrated at a lack of progress over a new Paris Saint-Germain contract, according to reports in France.
The elegant midfielder has emerged as a key member of Unai Emery’s Ligue 1 pacesetters and has featured in every game so far this season.
Despite his increased role, L’Equipe claim Rabiot, 22, a regular France international, is yet to commence talks over a new deal and is concerned that the French club haven’t kick-started the process.
Earlier this month Rabiot admitted he dreamed of playing in the Premier League and name-checked Liverpool as the club he supported in his youth. He said: ‘I think I would like to experience something else [outside Ligue 1],’ Rabiot stated.
‘There are a lot of very good championships, it’s also very rewarding to go elsewhere. ‘I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young.’
Arsenal, meanwhile, have been long-term admirers of Rabiot and are in desperate need of midfield reinforcements with current first choice pair Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny failing to convince.
