Liverpool star gassed by robbers on holiday in Zagreb in shock robbery

DEJAN LOVREN was left fearing for his family’s safety after he was “gassed by burglars”.

Lovren was renting a holiday home in Croatia when the thieves struck.

The gang are believed to have taken jewellery and cash from the £100,000 a week defender.

Speaking to The Sun, Lovren fears the thieves could have targeted his family.

He revealed: “Yes, I was robbed. They have stolen everything from me. I heard absolutely nothing. It is as if they had put something in my apartment for me to fall asleep.

“They could have kidnapped my kids, and I wouldn’t have noticed at all.”

Zagreb police last week arrested four men, aged 25 to 33, over the raid in June.

The Croatian defender has also had no luck on the pitch.

The centre half has only started two games for The Reds this season, after suffering from a back injury.

In his most recent game against Leicester, he was also ridiculed for slicing the ball out of play on his first touch.

Former Chelsea centre-half John Terry was also targeted by burglars who ransacked his mansion while he was on holiday.
