LIVERPOOL are reportedly closing in on the signing of Burnley star Michael Keane.
Keane has helped Burnley all but consolidate their Premier League status after promotion last year.
The defender made his England debut earlier this season and impressed in a friendly against Germany for Gareth Southgate’s side.
As a result, the Premier League elite have been backed to make a move for him.
Express Sport understands Manchester United are determined to bring him back to Old Trafford – two years after letting him leave the club for £1.5million.
Chelsea have also been linked with the 24-year-old, given club captain John Terry is departing at the end of the season.
Everton are also keen, with Ronald Koeman hinting at interest in the defender as far back as January.
However, The Mirror claim Keane is close to sealing a £25m move to Liverpool this summer.
It is said the former United star has agreed terms with the Reds ahead of the transfer window.
He is waiting to see whether they secure Champions League football for next season before swapping Turf Moor for Anfield.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp is determined to bolster his backline after a season that has seen Liverpool ship 42 league goals.
And a four-year contract offer is supposedly on the table for Keane, who will get a big move after his fine displays this season.
