Liverpool fan’s tweet about Salah and Hazard is eye-opening – and it’s sparkled reaction

There can be little doubting that Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard are two of the Premier League’s finest players.

Both play for two of the competition’s most fearsome teams and have both enjoyed perfect starts to the season, helping their sides to three consecutive wins so far.

Salah has two goals to his name with Liverpool bulldozing West Ham on the opening weekend, taking three points from Crystal Palace and grinding out a win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Egyptian perhaps hasn’t reached the dizzying form of last season – that saw him break the Premier League goal-scoring record – but he hasn’t lost his touch in front of goal.

As for Hazard, the Belgian has experienced less game-time so far this campaign after inspiring Belgium all the way to third place at the World Cup.

However, he made his first start for the Blues upon the visit to Newcastle United on Sunday and delivered the breakthrough from the penalty spot.

It proved his 70th goal in the Premier League for Chelsea, overtaking Jimmy Floyd Haselbaink and leaving him with just Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard to catch.

All that aside, though, the monumental talents of both players has naturally led to some furious debate amongst Chelsea and Liverpool fans recently.

Both feel pretty strongly about which player is superior and are willing to fight their corner across social media, calling upon stats and case studies.

That was certainly the case this weekend when one tweet in particular sent the Hazard-Salah debate into overdrive.

Twitter user @ClinicalSalah made the point that Salah has scored more Premier League goals in one season and two games than Hazard has done in more than three seasons.

It’s certainly an emphatic statistic but does that tell the full story? Well, check out the tweet, the reaction and be the judge.
