Liverpool v Burnley
At the start of the season Burnley caused Liverpool a major shock when they won 2-0 at Turf Moor.
Jurgen Klopp’s bogey team came back to haunt him at Anfield on Sunday as the Clarets took an early lead at Anfield.
A terrific ball from Matt Lawton into the Reds danger area found Ashley Barnes at the far post, and the Burnley forward steered the ball home in front of the Kop.
With Jordan Henderson out with injury, Klopp picked Emre Can as his holding midfielder against Burnley.
Can had an awful start against Sean Dyche’s men as he repeatedly fouled his opponents as the likes of Joey Barton got the better of him.
Cue the hate
It was amazing how quick the Emre Can hate started in the Burnley game.
Many Reds fans seemed eager to turn on the German midfield amid reports he’s looking for 100,000 pounds a week to sign on at the club.

Gary Neville on Emre Can: “He ducked out of that. Bottled it. Just what you want from your holding midfielder; no wonder they concede goals” pic.twitter.com/KstbymlMud

Utterly brain-dead start by Emre Can. Far from the only poor performer, though.
