Loris Karius has officially left Liverpool.
The German goalkeeper looked to have cemented his place as Liverpool’s first choice goalkeeper last season, until his disastrous mistakes in the Champions League final against Real Madrid.
Karius gifted Real Madrid two of their three goals in the final.
Karim Benzema was the first man to profit from a costly Karius mistake, and later on in the same game the German stopper spilled a tame long range effort from Gareth Bale into his own net.
Jurgen Klopp’s side would go on to lose 3-1, compounding Karius’ misery.
Klopp hinted he would retain Karius as his number one going into the new season, but he ended up completing a £66 million move for Alisson Becker.
And Karius was told he could leave the club in search of first team football after the arrival of the Brazilian goalkeeper.
And he has now joined Besiktas on loan, with the Turkish side having the option to buy him on a permanent deal at the end of that spell.
Liverpool fans continued to back Karius in the aftermath of the final, despite the whole world making jokes at his expense.
And a latest video has emerged from PSG training that has come to the attention of Liverpool fans.
Thomas Meunier can be seen making a poor goalkeeping mistake in training as he let a tame shot into the back of the net.
And PSG’s players reacted by repeatedly shouting ‘Karius’ at the Belgian defender.

It’s now a few months on since Karius’ blunders in the Champions League final, but judging by this, he will be mocked for some time yet.
However, it’s good to see Liverpool fans still defending him over the mistakes, despite him no longer being at the club.
Karius sent an emotional message to Liverpool fans on Sunday thanking them for their support.
He wrote on Instagram: “A big Thank You goes out to all of the Liverpool fans for the support until now – you indeed never let me walk alone.”
