The 2017/18 Premier League season has come to a close.
Although it was one of the least exciting final days in recent memory, there were still a few matters to resolve.
One of the most important games of the day came at Anfield, where the Reds needed a win to secure fourth place and a Champions League berth for next season.
And they did just that after a 4-0 drubbing of Brighton & Hove Albion.
Mohamed Salah gave Jurgen Klopp’s men the side after 26 minutes, before goals from Dejan Lovren, Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson gave them a comprehensive 4-0 victory.
The Reds can now breathe a huge sigh of relief as they look forward to their Champions League final in Kiev on 26 May.
MO SALAH BREAKS PREMIER LEAGUE RECORD
Whereas it was a good day for Liverpool, it was the perfect day for Salah.
The Egyptian winger won the Premier League Player of the Year earlier on in the day, and his goal against Brighton meant he broke the record for most goals scored in a 38-game Premier League season.
His goal means the 25-year-old finished the season with 32 goals from 36 games in the league; a quite remarkable tally from the former Roma man.
Prior to today, that record was jointly held by Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.
And Shearer sent a brilliant message to Salah after he saw his record fall.
“Congratulations, Mo Salah, on beating our record – myself, Luis Suarez and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“You’ve had a magnificent season. What an impact you’ve had in that Liverpool team.
“It must be a joy to play in that team with so many chances created. Keep up the good work!”

Lovely words from Shearer.
You would expect the 47-year-old to be a little unhappy after seeing one of his records broken, but he genuinely looked ecstatic for Salah.
And he also followed that message up by sending a tweet dedicated to the Egyptian winger.
“Congratulations @MoSalah on the new goal-scoring record. I enjoyed it while it lasted! @premierleague #PLrecord.”
