Liverpool lose at Leicester
Liverpool produced one of their worst performances of the season tonight, as they slumped to a 3-1 defeat at Leicester.
3-0 down at one point and completely outplayed and overwhelmed by Leicester’s intensity, the Reds did manage to pull one back through Coutinho, but it was very much too little too late.
It’s hard to believe that Liverpool were riding high at the top of the table back in early November; with this defeat, they’re now barely hanging onto 5th spot, and could be sent down to 6th Manchester United by next weekend.
But it wasn’t all bad for Liverpool….Nathaniel Clyne did pull out a Rabona.
It was such a spectacularly random and unexpected moment that Liverpool fans had to do a double take and seek confirmation that they’d actually just seen Clyne do a Rabona.
It seemed a really weird thing to do at 3-1 down from a player who rarely gets too silky with the skills.
That said, it’s a bit unfair to suggest he was larking around and showboating – a Rabona is actually an efficient skill as it allows you to lose your stronger foot, and Clyne did manage to get a good cross in for Coutinho with it.

Moral victory for a Clyne rabona at 3-1 down.

Clyne had a god awful game and he has the cheek to start knocking out rabona's like he's CR7.

Fucking went all the way to Spain to train during a 2 week break and all we have to show for it is a rabona from Clyne. #LFC
