Liverpool fans are bemused by the back of Alisson’s first goalkeeper shirt v Napoli

There is a lot of excitement about Alisson Becker at Liverpool.

The Merseyside club have not had the greatest luck with goalkeepers in the past few years.

Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius have both been given the chance to shine under Jurgen Klopp, but both have proven they cannot be relied on between the sticks.

As a result, Klopp decided he would splash out £67 million on Brazil’s number one this summer.

And Liverpool fans will finally get the opportunity to see him in action when Liverpool face off against Napoli later on Saturday.

Alisson will be eager to impress in his first outing as a Liverpool player.

He took to Instagram to share his thoughts, posting an image of the back of his shirt alongside the words: ‘God bless us’.

But Liverpool fans quickly picked up on something that they found very odd.

His name. It looks absolutely terrible.

Many commented how it looks as if his name has been drawn on with a pen and, to be honest, they have every right to think that.

Bizarre. Not quite sure what has happened there.

Alisson has revealed how he already feels at home after making the big money move from Roma.

“It has been a great day which I had been looking forward to,” he told Liverpoolfc.com on Tuesday.

“I’ve had a good few resting days with my family but we all couldn’t wait to get the new season under way soon.

“It’s only my first day and I feel at home already! I’ve met some of my teammates and had my first morning session but the day isn’t over yet as we’ll carry on training this afternoon.”

Alisson also went on to state how it important it is to get to know his teammates as soon as possible.
