When Liverpool travelled to face Burnley on New Year’s Day, Jurgen Klopp’s players must have known they were in for a tough game.
And that’s exactly what they got. Heading into the clash, Sean Dyche’s side had conceded just 17 goals – the fourth best defensive record in the Premier League.
As you would expect, then, Burnley were solid at the back and it required a moment of magic from Sadio Mane to break the deadlock in the 61st minute.
Trent Alexander-Arnold fired a cross into the box, which Mane superbly controlled before turning and firing a left-footed strike into the top corner.
Johann Berg Gudmundsson then levelled the scores with three minutes remaining, but in the dying embers, Ragnar Klavan stole all three points.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s free-kick found Dejan Lovren, who headed across goal for his centre-back partner in crime to finish into a near-empty net.
Victory means Liverpool are now level on points with Manchester United (44), though the Red Devils can re-establish a three-point gap against Everton at Goodison Park.
Nevertheless, another much-needed win for Liverpool, not to mention a much-needed goal for Mane, who has been somewhat out of form recently.
Mane has only scored five goals in 14 Premier League outings this season – a far cry from the form that saw him bag 13 last term.
His goal against Burnley will serve as a timely confidence boost, although Liverpool fans noticed something potentially worrying about his celebration.
In the video below, where you can also see Mane’s wonder strike, the Senegalese briefly wags his finger before slowly jogging to the Liverpool fans. He didn’t even crack a smile.
MANE DOESN’T LOOK HAPPY
Mane didn't fancy celebrating his wonder strike apparently… pic.twitter.com/qszYms7nQh

Not exactly what you’d expect from someone who just scored a screamer.
Naturally, Liverpool fans reacted on Twitter to Mane’s underwhelming celebration and are questioning what’s wrong with him.
Some have speculated that he’s frustrated with his form and the criticism he’s been getting recently, which you could understand.
TWITTER REACTS
One negative. Mane. Didn't celebrate the goal. Was pissed off when subbed off. No Klopp hug. He seemed really sad at full time. He seems unhappy for some reasons. Something is bothering him.

Wonder why Mané didn’t celebrate today? Hope nothings going on behind the scenes…

How come Mané didn't celebrate? Is he upset with all the idiotic criticism he's been getting on here??

Mane is unhappy. Scored a stunner but didn't really celebrate the goal
