Liverpool fans absolutely love Rhian Brewster’s tweet about his FIFA 19 rating

It’s the time of year when EA Sports drip feed the finer details of their upcoming FIFA title.

With its release date of September 28 just around the corner, FIFA 19 has got not only fans talking but several big-name footballers, too.

In fact, EA Sports often visit clubs to reveal in-game player ratings and capture the reaction of their real-life counterparts on video.

It’s certainly an effective way to hype up the annual release given the debate it generates.

While the weeks leading up to the new FIFA hitting the shelves is exciting for fans, imagine how it must feel for a teenage starlet to know they will be created in the latest edition of the franchise.

Last year, Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster got to experience exactly that for the first time.

EA Sports must have thought relatively highly of the then 17-year-old to give him an overall rating of 60.

He wasn’t capable of banging in 20 goals a season in FIFA 18, but at least he found himself in the top five strikers of his age in the Premier League.

Brewster’s assets were adequately reflected in his virtual representation, too, namely by his pace (77), finishing (63), agility (75) and balance (77).

However, after hitting five goals in 11 league appearances for the Reds’ Under 23s last term, the youngster could be forgiven for expecting to receive a slight boost in the next instalment.

EA Sports have granted Brewster his wish, rewarding his efforts with an upgrade of two overall points to make him 62-rated at 18-years-old.

Check out how he’s improved.

It’s not a bad effort by any stretch – and he couldn’t resist sharing his achievement with a celebratory tweet that was much-loved by Liverpool fans.

He wrote: “That 60 Shooting will be 85 by next season, believe that!”
