Liverpool fan asked Fekir about potential move – his response is very interesting

On the whole Liverpool have enjoyed a phenomenal summer transfer window.

Naby Keita’s pre-agreed deal worth £57m saw the 23-year-old arrive on July 1, while Fabinho, Xherdan Shaqiri and now Alisson have also joined the Reds for a combined £125m.

It was previously believed Liverpool needed a couple of new faces to transform into title challengers and that’s exactly what Jurgen Klopp has done – and then some.

Just look at Liverpool’s potential starting XI for the new season:

Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren, Andy Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Keita; Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino.

Add to that the likes of Shaqiri, Daniel Sturridge, James Milner and Adam Lallana on the bench – not to mention Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s return – and Klopp’s men are looking strong.

However, there will still be a sense of regret about missing out on Nabil Fekir, who came agonisingly close to joining Liverpool for £53m last month.

THE SAGA CONTINUES
Fekir’s move seemed inevitable until concerns were raised about his injury history. A medical was completed but Liverpool eventually pulled the plug.

Since then reports have continued to link the Frenchman with a switch to Anfield yet it would appear a deal is dead in the water.

But it’s well known that Fekir wanted to join Liverpool and one of the club’s fans, Noor Patterson, recently met him and said: “Still waiting for you to join Liverpool.”

And Fekir’s response? “Yeah yeah. Inshallah,” which is the Arabic word for “God willing”. Very interesting.

Clearly Fekir is still keen on a move to Liverpool and hopes it will happen in the future. Just imagine a midfield three of the Frenchman, Fabinho and Keita.
