Liverpool are interested in signing teenage winger Joseph Hungbo from Crystal Palace, according to a report from Toby Porter of the South London Press.
The 17-year-old is very highly thought of at Palace and has been playing for their U18 side since he was 15 and it looks like Liverpool have been keeping a close eye on him
He is currently the captain on the Eagles’ U18 side is comfortable playing on either flank or in an attacking midfield role.
Liverpool are currently serving a ban which means they can’t sign any academy players until after April and they’ll need to tread carefully on all youth transfers as they have another year’s ban hanging over their heads if they step out of line.
Hungbo has been at Palace since the age of nine and he has risen up through the club’s academy structure, so they will be keen to keep him.
Liverpool have shown a willingness to sign some of the country’s best young talent in recent years and it looks like Hungbo is the next player that they are targeting.
