Last night, Liverpool once again confirmed that they are a completely different and a weak side in the absence of star playmaker Sadio Mane.
The Reds need more depth in their attacking midfield to make sure that injuries do not halt their progress next season.
The Merseysiders have been linked with Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic for quite some time. Back in January, Liverpool were looking to lure him.
More recently, we covered a report last month (via TMW) claiming that Klopp is ready to spend a figure of 35 million euros to hire the services of the former Borussia Dortmund attacker.
Now, according to reports in Italy (CalcioMercato), there is an update for the suitors which confirms that the Croatian international can finally be signed if a fee of 50 million euros is met.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder is a versatile talent, who can play on either flank and also as a secondary striker if needed. This season, Ivan has featured in 28 league games for the Serie A side, scored 9 goals and provided 6 assists.
- Davor Suker’s assessment: “He [Perisic] is incredible; he has strength, talent and a knack of scoring. He’s decisive like [Arjen] Robben”.
As per the provided CalcioMercato link, the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested in hiring his services. In your opinion, should Liverpool splash €50million to sign Perisic?
