Liverpool boss to hold crunch transfer talks over Brazilian playmaker

HERTHA BERLIN boss Michael Preetz says he will hold transfer talks with Liverpool over the future of Allan Rodrigues de Souza.

The 19-year-old was shipped out on loan to Germany following issues getting a work permit.

Jurgen Klopp was keen to utilise the Brazil Under-20 international in his first-team plans having been impressed by his performances in training.

But the fact he is yet to appear for his country’s senior side means he was unable obtain a work permit to play in England yet.

His spell in the Bundesliga should strengthen his case for getting permission to play in the Premier League.

However, Hertha chief Preetz has hinted that he could keep the promising young playmaker.

When asked by German newspaper Kicker if Preetz will remain in the German capital next season, he said: “We must and will discuss this with Liverpool.”

Since making the move, the Anfield starlet has struggled for match action.

He’s only managed nine games for Hertha this term but is regarded as a future star.
