Liverpool BOOST! Reds target has not agreed deal with Juventus

Liverpool have been given a boost in their pursuit of Sead Kolasinac after Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel revealed the defender will not be joining Juventus during the January transfer window.

Kolasinac’s contract expires in the summer and, as he is refusing to sign a new one, it was thought Schalke would cash in on the defender now rather than lose him for free in the summer.

Liverpool have expressed a keen interest in the left-back, but it was reported that Juventus had won the race for the 23-year-old by coughing up around £4m.

However Schalke sporting director Heidel has now revealed that Kolasinac is in fact going nowhere until the summer.

“Nothing’s changed with respect to a few days ago,” Heidel told Fantagazzetta.

“He’s under contract with us until June, there’s nothing else to add. We want to keep him. He’s not going anywhere until June.

“I haven’t talked to Juventus. If they’ve contacted the player then I can’t say, but our position is quite clear.”
