LIVERPOOL have leapfrogged Real Madrid and are now favourites to land Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Ladbrokes now have the Reds at 6/4 ahead of Chelsea at 2/1, AC Milan at 5/2 and PSG and Real Madrid at 3/1.
Aubameyang has been in fine form for Dortmund this season, netting 20 goals in just 21 appearances in all competitions.
But the Gabon international has angered officials at the Bundesliga side and was suspended for disciplinary issues last month.
Now the bookies claim Aubameyang could make a surprise move to the Premier League with Liverpool.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Aubameyang looks set for a move away from Dortmund, but attention has shifted from Madrid to Merseyside this week, with Klopp said to be preparing for a reunion with Dortmund’s key man.”
Liverpool have been in sensational form as an attacking force this season.
The Reds have netted 34 times in the Premier League so far with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Philippe Coutinho proving lethal in front of goal.
Aubameyang joining would make them even more of a force in the final third of the pitch.
Liverpool return to action tomorrow night when they welcome West Brom to Anfield in the Premier League.
The Reds will look to maintain their place in the top four but their hopes of a title challenge seem to be over with Manchester City 16 points clear.
