Liverpool and Arsenal Set to Lock Horns Over Signing £19m International Striker

Liverpool and Arsenal are both interested in Torino’s Italy international striker Andrea Belotti according to Calcio Mercato, with the Reds believed to have offered €22 million (£19.7 million) for the 22-year-old.

The prolific attacker has starred in Serie A over recent years, scoring regularly for Palermo before moving to the Turin outfit last year.

Belotti netted 12 league goals for Torino last season but has started this term in blistering fashion, scoring five times in four outings in 2016-17.

The young forward’s performances and goals record has seen him called up to the Italy national side, with one goal in three caps so far for the Calcinate-born poacher.

The report suggests that Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the attacker and has made an offer to the Serie A side ahead of a potential January deal.

Roberto Firmino currently leads the line for the Anfield outfit, while Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi are also in contention at the Merseyside team.

The report suggests that Arsenal are also keeping an eye on Belotti’s progress, despite the fact that they signed Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna over the summer.
