Tottenham Hotspur are reported to be lining up a swoop for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, but the Reds will refuse to sell.
Liverpool are set to offer Adam Lallana a new contract if recent reports are to be believed.
According to Daily Express, Lallana is a target for Tottenham and therefore the Reds are looking to double his wages in order to fend off interest from the Londoners.
Mauricio Pochettino has worked with Lallana at Southampton and is eyeing a reunion. Under Klopp, the England midfielder has been one of the best players in the Premier League and it is understandable why the Reds want to hold on to him.
The former Saints captain joined Liverpool in 2014 for a fee of £25 million.
The report from Express claims that Lallana earns around £60,000 per week now, but thenew contract will double his wages. Once the deal is signed, Lallana will be the club’s highest earner alongside Sturridge and Milner.
Tottenham are not the only interested party either with France champions Paris Saint-Germain also said to be in the running now the transfer window is open. Lallana has two years left on his current contract at Anfield.
