Liverpool are now favourites to sign the 24-year-old out-of-favour winger

Julian Draxler must be wondering what he has done to deserve this. After moving from Wolfsburg to join Paris Saint-Germain, there were expectations that he would take Ligue1 by storm. But that has failed to materialise so far.

This summer, the French club smashed the transfer record by signing Neymar from Barcelona. That was then followed by the signing of Kylian Mbappe and now Draxler, could be looking for a move away from the side.

Now betting experts Ladbrokes claim that a couple of Premier League clubs are leading the race to sign the German attacker.

The bookies claim that Arsenal are favourites at 7/2 while Liverpool are not too far behind being 4/1. We were linked with a move for Draxler earlier in January as well but the German decided to move to France due to his wage demands.

With a lack of playing time and certainly no real chance of breaking into the first team at the moment, Draxler has to think a lot about his future with the World Cup coming up. PSG would not let go of their player without a fight but they also have to worry about financial implications, as they need to balance the books at the end of the season.

There is no hiding that Draxler would greatly improve our team. Jurgen Klopp also knows the player well and if we can ship out Coutinho and Can for sizeable sums, we can actually sign the former Schalke midfielder for whatever sum that PSG want.

The one way we can guarantee his signing is by playing quality football and start winning games and not draw them. We have not won a game in the last three matches and should we be in a better position in January than Arsenal, we will be leading the race for the 23-year-old, who has enormous potential.
