Liverpool striker Danny Ings has reportedly held talks over a loan move to Newcastle with a view to potentially joining permanently for £15million.
According to the Northern Echo, the former Burnley man is keen to make the move to St James’ Park and discussions have taken place.
Ings could certainly do with a move after a troubled time at Anfield, with there surely being no realistic way back for him with us now.
The 26-year-old has been extremely unfortunate with injuries, but there’s only so long we can wait for him to really fulfil the early potential he showed.
Never exactly the biggest name, Ings still looked quality at Burnley and is just the type of player you could imagine really improving under Jurgen Klopp.
Andrew Robertson comes to mind as another player who arrived with relatively low expectations but who has really blossomed under the German, but it seems Ings’ time to replicate that is up.
