Nicolas Pepe is set to snub interest from several Premier League heavyweights and sign for Bayern Munich.
The Ivory Coast international took Ligue 1 by storm last season, scoring 22 goals in all competitions and helping Lille secure Champions League qualification in the process.
Arsenal were linked with the 24-year-old last summer but were unable to raise the funds to complete a deal and have been ruled out of the running this time around given Lille’s £70million asking price.
According to The Mirror, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also been tracking the devastating winger, while Liverpool have been credited with a strong interest with Jurgen Klopp keen to add an extra level of competition at Anfield among his forwards Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Bayern Munich, however, are said to be poised to win the race for one of Europe’s most coveted forwards as they intensify their efforts to replace wing kings Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, both of whom departed at the end of last season after a trophy-laden decade.
The Bundesliga champions are also said to be in the running to prise Leroy Sane from Manchester City with the Germany international having fallen down Pep Guardiola’s pecking order in recent months.
