THOMAS LEMAR has been backed to light up the Premier League soon.
The Monaco winger has been winning many plaudits for his dynamic style of play. He recently rejected a new contract offer from the Ligue 1 club, which could force the club into cashing in on him.
The France international has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Arsenal in the past. A deadline day move to the Gunners fell through in the summer, though, after it emerged he wanted to play in the Champions League.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are the favourites to land the 22-year-old, who have yet to replace Philippe Coutinho.
Not only does he possess great pace, but he is incredibly versatile. He can play across all the midfield, including the vacant playmaker role at Anfield. And former Reds defender Steve Nicol has backed the former Caen ace to be a huge success in the Premier League.
When asked if he thinks he will come to England, he said: “I think there is no doubt.
“This is a guy who will start for France in the World Cup, and to do that with their squad and you’ve got to have something special.”
Monaco have already experienced an exodus this season.
Kylian Mbappe, Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva all left the club in the summer.
