Thomas Lemar scored a spectacular solo goal for Monaco against Bordeaux on Saturday and reportedly did so in front of watching Arsenal scouts.
The winger was the subject of several failed bids from Arsenal and their Premier League rivals, Liverpool, in the summer.
Despite the intense interest, a transfer failed to materialize and Lemar remained in France with Monaco. Football.London claim Arsenal are still monitoring Lemar and sent scouts to watch Monaco’s Ligue 1 match with Bordeaux over the weekend.
Monaco ran out 2-0 winners and Lemar scored his first goal of the 2017/16 season. And it was a real cracker as Lemar went by three players before striking the ball through the legs of the goalkeeper.

Arsenal are unlikely to move for Lemar in January, but are weighing up returning for his signature in the summer transfer window. Monaco have ruled out Lemar moving club midway through the season as they continue to adjust to life without the spine of their team.
Kylian Mbappe, Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko all left in the summer and Monaco have struggled to reach the heights they achieved last season.
Lemar had scored five goals at this stage last season and will be eager to kick on from his superb opener. Arsenal and Liverpool bid upwards of £80million for Lemar in the summer and the winger’s price tag is not expected to drop too dramatically in the next year.
