The Liverpool train shows little sign of slowing down right now as Jurgen Klopp spearheads what could really be a title challenge on Merseyside.
As you can well imagine, the Reds fans are delighted as a result.
Still, having watched a number of their first-team stars flop for England, the Merseyside locals are talking about the January transfer market.
Though there’s still so much football still to be played, the upcoming African Cup of Nations has the punters talking about potential targets.
Clearly, any potential recruit will more than likely be playing in the tournament, though Manchester City’s signing of Wilfried Bony two years ago proves deals can well be done.
With all this in mind, the African market can provide the Kop titans with some real talent, especially considering Sadio Mane’s impact at Anfield.
Considering all this, here are TWO African stars Liverpool simply must sign in January.
JORDAN AYEW
Jordan Ayew is currently playing in the Championship, though the Ghanian is well above that standard when playing in a good team.
On paper, his boundless energy would be perfect under Jurgen Klopp, with the notion of the Aston Villa man developing his all round game even further an exciting one.
One of the few bright sparks of Villa’s season.
FRANCK KESSIÉ
Kessié is emerging at Atalanta in Serie A this season and has drawn comparisons with compatriot Yaya Toure.
While a defensive midfielder, the 19-year-old has been in good goalscoring form of late and could be one of the elite marauding midfielders for years to come.
