LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp says it’s a ‘really good sign’ the club’s players are being linked with Europe’s top sides.
Philippe Coutinho has been one of the stand out performers under the German boss in his first year in charge.
His performances have seen him linked with a move to Real Madrid in recent months with the likes of Brazil legend Ronaldo even talking up a Bernabeu move for the 24-year-old.
Reportedly defender Nathaniel Clyne is attracting interest from Spain.
Barcelona are considering a surprise move for the England international as the Catalan giants look for an upgrade on Sergi Roberto and Aleix Vidal in the right-back position.
And while Liverpool fans could start to fret over a repeat of Luis Suarez’s move to Spain, Klopp has seen the positive side to the stories.
“That’s a really good sign!” Jurgen Klopp said when asked about Coutinho and Clyne attracting interest from Spain.
“Only the big clubs, yes?
“A few months ago it was like ‘he will go to Aston Villa and try to bring them back to the Premier League’.
“What can I say? It’s better that they talk about Real Madrid and Barcelona.
“How many matches have we played? Nine? ****ing hell, nine matches and we talk about all this stuff.
“Do they want to get them in winter or the next window? Do they think they can buy Clyney in winter? Come on. It’s nice but not important.”
Coutinho and Clyne, who are both under contract with the Anfield outfit until 2020, are expected to start against Crystal Palace this evening (5.30pm).
