It seems as if Liverpool have had just about had enough with their shaky goalkeeper situation as Jurgen Klopp looks to address the issue head on.
The Reds are said to be impressed by Inter Milan number one Samir Handanovic and would like to sign him, but the Serie A club are aware of mounting interest in their top goalkeeper and they’re preparing to hand him a new long-term deal, talkSPORT claim.
While Simon Mignolet hasn’t had any real howlers yet this season, there are still question marks surrounding his consistency while backup Loris Karius has regularly disappointed between the sticks like he did last night against Spartak Moscow.
Handanovic is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in Italian football today not named Gianluigi Buffon and Inter Milan are ready to offer him a new contract which will run until 2021 when the goalkeeper will turn 37.
Inter will also offer him a pay rise with the hope that he will accept and spend the rest of his career at the club.
There’s no doubt the Reds need to address their goalkeeper situation either in January or next summer and Handanovic could be one to keep an eye on.
