Jurgen Klopp’s sense of humour peaked during his post-match press conference as he hugged a reporter who dressed up as him from head to toe.
The Liverpool boss, 52, has travelled with his side for their pre-season tour in the States and came up against his former side Borussia Dortmund.
But Klopp wasn’t able to have the last laugh over his former employers as the Reds suffered a 3-2 defeat at the Notre Dame Stadium.
The ex-Dortmund head coach was in high spirits after an interesting surprise during his post-match press conference.
A reporter, who dressed up as Klopp to become his doppelganger, asked the German manager: “Because I’m never going to get the chance to ask you this again, any chance I could get a hug?”
In response to the question, Klopp said that it was “probably the best second question I ever heard.”
And the Reds boss walked down from his table to embrace the reporter and said “You look like my f*****g doppelganger” before he exited from the conference.
Paco Alcacer opened the scoring for Dortmund in the third minute before Harry Wilson pulled one back for Klopp’s men in the first half.
Thomas Delaney and Jacob Bruun Larsen both found the back of the net in the second half to hand Lucien Favre’s men a 3-1 advantage.
Liverpool were handed a lifeline after being awarded a penalty, which Rhian Brewster successfully converted in the 75th minute.
But the Champions League holders were unable to score an equaliser before the full-time whistle.
