Some Liverpool supporters think they’ve identified the ideal replacement for Philippe Coutinho and are urging the Reds to sign him.
Coutinho made his first appearance of the season as a substitute in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Sevilla on Wednesday, after being denied a move to Barcelona during the summer transfer window.
The Reds may have already agreed a deal to sign RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita from next summer, with Coutinho’s future at Anfield far from certain, but another attacking midfielder – Sevilla’s Joaquin Correa – has caught the eye of several of their fans on Twitter.
Correa scored a superb equaliser on the night, curling into Loris Karius’ top corner after a slightly fortunate first touch enabled him to part Liverpool’s defence, and his performance provoked the following responses:
@LFC SIGN CORREA AS COUTINHO REPLACEMENT

Muriel showed instant class when he came on for them. Correa impressed me too.

Liverpool fell behind to Wissam Ben Yedder’s early goal, but turned things around before the break courtesy of Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
Firmino also hit the post from the penalty spot, before Correa struck and Joe Gomez was shown a red card late on.
Correa has scored nine goals and created four since moving to Sevilla from Sampdoria last summer, but has failed to start any of the Andalusians’ three league games this season.
