JURGEN KLOPP wants to sign Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk and Celtic sensation Moussa Dembele in January, according to reports.
The Sunday Express claim the Liverpool boss is desperate to snap up both stars as he eyes title glory.
However, Manchester City are keen on £30m-rated Van Dijk – and the Saints insist he’s not for sale.
City chief Pep Guardiola is keen for the 25-year-old to replace injury ravaged Vincent Kompany.
Liverpool are used to doing business with the south coast club and reckon the Dutchman could be persuaded to move to Anfield.
Adam Lallana, Nathaniel Clyne, Sadio Mane and Rickie Lambert have all swapped Southampton for Merseyside in recent years.
Dembele has dazzled in Scotland since joining the club from Fulham in the summer.
He’s bagged 17 goals this season since moving north of the border.
But Klopp will face a real battle to sign the 20-year-old hot shot.
Tottenham, Paris St-Germain and Real Madrid are also sniffing around.
It’s suggested Celtic might be willing to part with their prized asset for around £20m.
