Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp had some good news regarding Adam Lallana’s injury.
The diminutive midfielder is making good progress from his thigh injury and could be back for the Reds next month.Lallana has been a key player for both club and country. His influence grew with each game last season, and displayed the form that made him hugely successful at his former club, Southampton.
Lallana would have been hoping to carry on his form into the new season – however he suffered a thigh strain in a friendly against Atletico Madrid in early August.
The initial prognosis wasn’t great for the England international and he was expected to miss three months.
However, Klopp revealed that he is making good progress and should be back in action in mid to late October.
Klopp said: ‘Adam made the Champions League squad because it was a moment when we had to think about these things and the medical department told me that in around about six weeks he should be back.
‘That was around August 31. So it should be about another four weeks before he’s normal training. It looks all on the right way for him.’
He will start working outside at Melwood next week and has been pencilled in to return to full training during next month’s international break.
