JOE HART will not be joining Chelsea this summer and will end up at Liverpool instead, Shaka Hislop believes.
The Manchester City goalkeeper, currently on loan with Serie A side Torino, has been linked with both Premier League giants in recent weeks.
The Blues are said to be keeping tabs on Hart as they fear Real Madrid could snap up first-choice Stamford Bridge stopper Thibaut Courtois.
But Hislop reckons Real are not truly interested in the Belgian and will instead pursue a move for Manchester United’s David De Gea again.
Because of this the former Premier League goalkeeper can see Chelsea keeping their star, allowing Hart to move to Anfield.
He told ESPN: “[Hart has] been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool.
“The Chelsea link comes because there’s still some uncertainty about Courtois, his long-term future at Stamford Bridge and supposed the Real Madrid interest.
“I think Real Madrid will continue to put all their eggs in the De Gea basket and I think Courtois might be a bit of a distraction than a Plan B.
“So I think Hart will find himself going to Anfield rather than Stamford Bridge.”
City boss Pep Guardiola sent Hart to Italy in the summer after signing Claudio Bravo from Barcelona.
The England international has impressed with Torino, helping them up to ninth the Serie A table.
He will return to Manchester at the end of the season but it then expected to complete a permanent move away from the Etihad.
Liverpool chief Jurgen Klopp is said to be keen on the 29-year-old amid concerns over Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius.
