Former Liverpool stars Jamie Carragher and Dietmar Hamann have slammed Lord Sugar’s insensitive Twitter post about Gerard Houllier.
Lord Sugar took to the social media platform to use the death of the ex-Liverpool manager to have a pop at rival Piers Morgan, even spelling the Frenchman’s name incorrectly.

That didn’t go down well with Carragher, who branded the former Tottenham chairman ‘a f***ing idiot’.
Former Liverpool midfielder Hamann also hit out at Lord Sugar, as did BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker.
An hour after the post, Lord Sugar did apologise but only for spelling Houllier’s surname wrong.
May I suggest you get a life, chill out see the truth and irony in my comment and mind your own bloody business. https://t.co/dHvxmwZoSk— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) December 14, 2020
Tributes have poured in on social media for Houllier, who led Liverpool to a unique cup treble in 2001.
Houllier, who leaves a wife and two sons, passed away at the age of 73. He underwent aortic aneurysm surgery three weeks ago and was discharged from hospital on Sunday, but tragically died overnight.
He reportedly sent a text message at the weekend saying: “I am struggling, but I am going to come out of this.”
You obviously didn’t know him otherwise you’d pay him the respect he deserved. One of the few gentleman in the football world, which can’t be said of yourself. https://t.co/rgHMXe5XrK— Didi Hamann (@DietmarHamann) December 14, 2020
