Dutch international striker Wout Weghorst believes that he could win his dream move to Anfield if he keeps on with his current form.
The striker only moved to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg this Summer, but Weghorst told De Telegraaf that the move is only a stepping stone for his dream switch to Liverpool.
“I’ve dreamt of [playing for Liverpool] since childhood, If I continue to train with full commitment, I think that opportunity will come.
Of course, something like that depends on several factors. You have to stay fit and a coach and club must see it in you, but apart from that you can create many things in life for yourself.
The striker moved to Wolfsburg after an impressive season for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie. Weghorst netted18 times in 31 Eredivisie appearances before moving to Germany this Summer.
The forward did also say he could only dream of where he could have ended up had he been blessed with natural talent, but the hardworking striker still believes he could make the switch to the Reds soon.
I’ve always been surprised by the fact that people apparently don’t get everything out of it, Sometimes I think it really is a pity that I don’t have that exceptional talent. If I had, I would probably have been able to reach the absolute top.
I’m now going for my own personal limit, but because I don’t have that exceptional talent, I don’t know how high it will be.
