PSG have stepped up their interest in River Plate striker Lucas Alario with an opening bid of £9million.
The Argentina ace has also attracted Liverpool‘s interest with his performances in South America.
Liverpool are one of those hot on the 24-year-old’s trail, while Tottenham have also been linked with a January bid.
He has scored 10 goals in 24 Primera Division games in 2016 and a host of European clubs are on his trail.
The French champions are big fans of the forward and want to thrash out a deal before others try to snap him up.
River Plate are yet to respond to the offer but it has previously been reported they want around £15m for Alario.
The best club in France have mined the stock of talent in Argentina often, with Javier Pastore, Angel di Maria and Giovanni Lo Celso all on their modern squad.
Ligue 1 champions also had World Cup finalist Ezequiel Lavezzi, since he was sold to Chinese giants Hebei China Fortune, where he now earns a huge £10m-a-year.
