“Grujic+£60m And Done Deal” – Liverpool Fans Dream Of Signing 23-Year-Old Midfielder

Serie A giants Lazio reportedly want to raid Premier League Liverpool again for Marko Grujic, but could the Reds use this as an opportunity?

Lazio have a great recent record when it comes to signing squad players from Liverpool and transforming them into some of Serie A’s best.

Lucas Leiva moved to the Stadio Olimpico last summer after a year of warming the Anfield bench and making sporadic appearances as a makeshift centre-back. At Lazio, however, the Brazilian enjoyed arguably the best season of his career and proved that he is more than just a limited ball-winner.

12 months earlier, Luis Alberto swapped Merseyside for the Italian capital and you would be hard pushed to find a better creative midfielder in Serie A last season. The Spaniard scored 12 and set up 21 in all competitions.

So will Liverpool really risk making the same mistake as Lazio aim to sign Marko Grujic, according to Il Tempo? The Serbian was tipped for big things when he arrived from Red Star Belgrade for £5.1 million (The Mail) and, despite making just a smattering of appearances, is still highly rated by the Anfield crowd.

But there is one way that Liverpool fans would be happy to see Grujic go – if they got Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in return. The fellow Serb is arguably the most coveted midfielder in world football with Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG heavily linked with a player valued at £130 million, according to the Mail.

In fact, Milinkovic-Savic is so gifted that Liverpool supporters would be more than happy to see Grujic used as a makeweigh.
