We had a feeling when Jurgen Klopp breezed in towards the end of 2015 that our attack would be something special but we didn’t realise how quickly it would happen as the Reds went about becoming one of the top-scorers under the German.
Indeed, as the summer saw Sadio Mane arrive, things have stepped up another gear with a new added dimension of pace and width in going forward leaving us very much feared up and down the league.
We’ve managed to blow teams away this season, too, but we actually feel it could be more threatening than it is right now.
It could be quicker and more expansive as it often gets narrow and congested up top whilst we’d also like an out-and-out forward to replace Roberto Firmino.
So with that in mind, and fresh with some transfer rumours in front of us, here’s what next season’s attack could look like with Philippe Coutinho back in midfield and Firmino probably on the bench – strength in depth and all that…
RW: SADIO MANE
Mane would be the one that keeps his place in this new-look trio.
Down the right he has torn some of the best defenders about apart and we think he’s only going to get better next season. It’s easy to forget that he is short of his prime years at the moment and so if he can be even more explosive than he has been so far we could be in for a treat. Definitely one of our best players at the moment.
