Liverpool star Sadio Mane believes his side will beat Manchester United when the two arch-rivals face off at Anfield on Monday.
The match is one of the most-anticipated meetings between the two sides in recent history, with both pushing at the top end of the table.
The Senegalese insists his side will overcome Jose Mourinho’s men, and that they are treating it as just another game.
“We are going to beat Manchester United. Of course. We all believe it. We are going to make it,” Mane told the Telegraph.
“It’s normal the fans and people will think this is a particular type of game. We know it’s one of the big games of the season.
“It might be like El Clásico but, really, when the games starts and you get on to the pitch, then you do have to treat it more like a normal game.”
A win for the Reds by a three-goal scoreline would see Jurgen Klopp’s men go to the top of the table, ahead of Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Liverpool have been in electric form this season, with only two sides scoring more goals than them. However, they have been fragile in defence, and have not kept a clean sheet in the league this term.
Meanwhile, Mane has scored three goals in the Premier League this season as well as notching one assist since joining from Southampton this summer for a fee of around £34 million (via the BBC).
He has formed a lethal partnership with Brazilians Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho in what has been a successful season so far for the Reds, as they seek their first title in 26 years.
