Liverpool are working on a deal that will ‘blow fans away’ according to one Melwood insider, report the Liverpool Echo.
The Reds’ transfer activity is set to step up a gear this week after former BBC journalist Ben Smith revealed momentum should start to gather over the coming days.
The Reds have already secured the signings of Dominic Solanke, who was pictured training at Melwood last week, and have smashed their transfer record to sign Roma winger Mohamed Salah.
However the the club has been left frustrated in their pursuit of other targets, such as RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita and Southampton’s Virgil Van Dijk, but both outfits are proving to be tough negotiators.
Should start to gather momentum next week

It seems that Liverpool would rather play a waiting game than look to pursue other targets, which could be a suggestion that they’re still very confident of getting their man.
We know Klopp likes to have his players in early so he can work with them over pre-season, so waiting for much longer would be a risk, but it looks like they’re willing to take it.
It’s been a quiet for days on the transfer front, but could the Reds be about to pull something out of the water that nobody’s expecting?
