From Brazil: Liverpool Made a Move to Sign Record-breaking Attacker

According to the reports from Brazil Liverpool have lodged a bid for Rodrygo – the Santos attacker dubbed ‘the new Neymar’

The 18-time English champions are short of depth up front at the moment and may be ready to gamble on this teenage treasure to bolster their options in the near future.

As per the Brazilian newspaper Globo Esporte, the Reds have submitted an offer to secure the services of highly-rated 17-year-old.

“The offer from Liverpool shook Rodrygo, but the idea is for him to stand out in Brazil before going to Europe. Santos plan to offer him a contract with big buyout clause”.

The Brazil U-17 international has long been tipped for a bright future, and made history when he became the youngest ever player to sign a deal with Nike when he was still only 11 years old.

Rodrigo’s style of play and surge through the ranks has drawn comparisons to Barcelona superstar Neymar, and Brazilian giants know they can command a much higher fee once he has made his mark at senior level.

In August the player’s mother told reporters: “He breathes football.

“When he’s not training, he gets upset, and when he’s not playing, he’s watching games or watching dribbling videos and goals.

“Sometimes I have to ask him to stop”.
