France international signs himself for Liverpool

Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Ousmane Dembele has made himself popular with Liverpool fans today after being seen signing himself for the Reds on Football Manager 2017.

The 19-year-old has had a sensational start to life in the Bundesliga after moving from Rennes in the summer, and Liverpool were mentioned as one of the clubs in for him before his transfer.

The €15m Dembele shone in France to attract interest from all around Europe, though Dortmund ended up being the somewhat surprise winners in the race for his signature.

Still, in an alternate universe somewhere (more specifically, Dembele’s laptop), the young attacker did go on to make the move to Anfield, though we can only speculate on how things went for him thereafter.

Then again, if he’s so keen to see himself a Red shirt, maybe this simulated transfer will become a reality one day if he ever looks for a new challenge after his time at Dortmund.
