Liverpool were absolutely brilliant as they destroyed Atalanta 5-0 in midweek.
The Reds travelled to Italy looking to make it three wins from three games in the Champions League.
And they did just that, with goals from Diogo Jota (3), Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane handing them a comfortable victory.
Jordan Henderson put in another fantastic performance.
The Englishman played 65 minutes before making way with Liverpool cruising to victory.
The 30-year-old was close to leaving Liverpool a few years ago but he’s now one of the most influential captains in world football.
And Liverpool have posted a fascinating video showing why he is so important to Liverpool.
The Reds have posted a video of Henderson’s soundbites during the Atalanta victory.
In the one-minute clip, Henderson can be heard praising his teammates, shouting instructions and geeing them on where necessary.
Watch it below:
That is great to watch.
Not only does it show what a great leader Henderson is, but it’s fascinating to hear exactly what footballers are saying to each other on the football pitch.
The Englishman showed his leadership qualities with a text to Jota before he joined Liverpool.
Jota revealed his message earlier this week when asked about how he has settled at the club.
“I have to mention Jordan Henderson”, Jota said, per the Liverpool Echo.
“Even before I arrived for my first training session he already texted me, saying that he will be there for me, saying welcome.
“It was a big thing for me and I was not expecting it and I just wanted to thank Jordan for that.”
It’s crazy to think that Liverpool wanted him to leave a few years ago. What a turn around it has been for the former Sunderland midfielder.
