LIVERPOOL academy prospect Ben Woodburn is reportedly set to sign a three-year-deal with the club.
The 16-year-old striker made an impression on manager Jurgen Klopp when he scored for the senior team during pre-season.
The Welsh youngster is highly rated within Anfield and already competes regularly for the under-23s.
And the Liverpool Echo say Woodburn has agreed his first professional contract with the club.
Under-16’s coach Des Maher is a big fan of Woodburn and has tipped him for the top.
“I’ve worked with Ben for the last two seasons; he comes in every day and gives it everything he has got,” says Maher.
“I believe he is destined to make big steps in the game.”
