Dejan Lovren Instructs Jurgen Klopp To Complete This Deal: Man Utd Are Also keen

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has sent out a transfer message to his boss Jurgen Klopp stating that Ivan Perisic is a top quality player and it would be great if the move happened.

The statement comes after a host of top clubs were recently linked with Perisic, including arch-rivals Manchester United.

It was reported that Jose Mourinho visited Croatia to discuss a deal for the Inter star who is valued at £35 million. It was believed that Mourinho was there to visit Predrag Mijatovic, with who he has previously completed deals for players like Modric and Matic.

However, with Liverpool showing a lot of interest in Ivan Perisic, it appears as though the Perisic saga might head into a transfer tug of war.

Now, Liverpool centre-half Dejan Lovren has expressed his joy at the Reds being linked with a move for the 28-year old striker, Klopp might probably step up his interest to land the Inter star. It is really important for a new player who comes in at the club to feel at home and be welcomed by his new teammates. At Liverpool now, that seems to be the case.

It appears as though the players at Anfield are really keen on welcoming new players with warm hands and this would be great for any new player who may join the club.

Dejan Lovren was quoted by Express:

“We players do not know anything about [transfers] until it happens. That’s always the case. But a player like Perisic moving to Liverpool would be great.

“He is a top quality player. At Liverpool, all the players would welcome him with open arms. Obviously, I do not know if it is true. What I can say is that he has exceptional football skills, knowledge and a higher than average quality.”

Perisic has scored 9 goals and 7 assists from 33 appearances this season and would surely be a great fit for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. Given that Perisic is just 28-years old, it would be safe to say that he still has plenty of football left in him. He is also in his peak years and Liverpool would greatly benefit by adding Ivan Perisic to their ranks.

Do you think the Croatian would be a good buy for the Reds?
