Coutinho makes large donation to Brazilian club Chapecoense

Coutinho has made a special donation to Chapecoense, the victims of the plane disaster which killed 71 of 77 on board in November last year.

The Brazilian club were on their way to play Atletico Nacional in the Copa Sudamericana Final, but only a handful are left – tragically.

Clubs from all over the world have donated money to Chapecoense, and many others have sent them players on loan.

Brazil are playing Colombia in a friendly on Wednesday to raise money for the victims, but Coutinho’s in Europe and unavailable – so has instead asked his Instagram followers to join him in making a donation.

A worthy cause, we’re sure you’ll agree.

“I would like to invite everyone to participate in this beautiful action [of donating], Together we are stronger,” said Coutinho.
