LIVERPOOL midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has fuelled talk of a move to Anfield for Spartak Moscow’s Quincy Promes.
According to the Mirror, Jurgen Klopp has stepped up his interest in Promes after he missed out on a deal to sign Paris St-Germain-bound Julian Draxler.
And Wijnaldum, who plays alongside Promes for Holland, has hinted that a deal could be imminent by commenting on an Instagram photo of the winger aboard a private jet.
He simply posted a praying-hands emoji but that was enough to get fans excited.
“Really want Promes at Liverpool,” said one supporter on Twitter.
Another added: “I don’t know an awful lot about Quincy Promes but from what I’ve heard and seen he is pure quality.
“Get it done!”
Promes left FC Twente in 2014 to join Russian side Spartak Moscow where he has established himself as one of the best attacking talents.
The winger has scored 37 goals and provided 20 assists in 78 appearances for the club in two seasons.
He is under contract until June 2021 and is expected to command a fee in the region of £20million.
